Raptor breeding center in southeastern Spain
Noctualia is a raptor breeding center located in San Javier, Murcia, in southeastern Spain. We operate as a registered Zoological Nucleus (breeder 118LA) under the supervision of the relevant wildlife authorities.
Our captive breeding programme focuses on Strigiformes (owls) and diurnal raptors, with an approach that prioritizes animal welfare and breeding in conditions as natural as possible.
With over 20 years of experience, Noctualia was born from a passion for raptors and the conviction that responsible captive breeding is compatible with conservation. Over the years, we have refined our incubation, rearing and husbandry protocols, adapting them to the specific needs of each species.
We have proven experience in genetic selection, artificial incubation , and hand-rearing chicks of multiple species. Our approach always prioritizes the health and welfare of each specimen.
Noctualia is committed to conservation through responsible breeding, environmental education and collaboration with wildlife recovery centers. All our specimens are captive-bred, properly ringed and documented in accordance with CITES regulations.
